As I’ve written in past birthday tributes, this man could do voiceovers for the Angels, as his voice resonates on some pretty amazing frequencies! The first time I heard John Gorka (27 July 1958) was on a Windham Hill Christmas CD about 25 years ago, and his voice immediately got my attention. His music is haunting, beautiful, humorous, poignant, rowdy, and definitely genuine. If you haven't heard him sing, you're in for a major treat. As a reviewer once wrote, "His piercing poetic lyrics are as arresting as his vocals... folk heaven." It's like stelliums and mercury retrograde are the two big pop astrology terms, I mean mercury retrograde I get why and that's been big for a while but stelliums? Why the excitement? Not everyone has them, they're not even all that great to have yet people really push to define having a stellium for some reason. Why though? I can think of several more impressive things to have in your chart. I guess a stellium is easy to see, or....? Seriously, why all the hype? Also, how do you define a stellium? Sun often travels close to mercury and Venus so those three do not a stellium make. I'd say three planets that aren't sun or moon (more if one of them), same house. Some people say house doesn't matter or sign doesn't matter. Some include ascedent. Some say the orbs have to be tighter angles, so even in 6he same hous either wouldn't matter. So I was just thinking about how the elements air and earth as predominant elements in a persons chart might mix. I always do this in a very neptunian way, for example air and water I think mist, air and fire steam. You get it. So I was trying to find the combination for air and earth and I could only think of getting pelleted by sand in high winds. But then I got to thinking about the breath and how even our breath is earthy, because the main goal of respiration isn't to take oxygen in, but rather to get carbon OUT. So I’m tracking that Uranus and Neptune are transpersonal planets and therefore don’t necessarily effect your personality but rather have a generational effect. What is the difference between a planet being in a certain sign and that planet being in a house, but that house is a different sign then the planet?
