The eclipse a couple of nights ago got me thinking about the thing that comes up every eclipse season, people calling themselves eclipse babies. so i pulled every eclipse from 1900 to 2100, all 909 of them, and worked out the odds properly. turns out the answer swings by a factor of 25 depending on what you mean by during. the loose version is being born on the calendar day of any eclipse, solar or lunar. that's 909 days spread across two centuries, so about 1 in 80 people. common enough that most people have a few people they know that fall in this category the strict version is being born while the moon is actually inside earth's shadow. that window only exists during a lunar eclipse and it averages about three hours, which adds up to roughly 850 hours in the whole 200 years. that's about 1 in 2000, five or six times rarer than being born on christmas day. and the day version shifts a little with your timezone, but the shadow version doesn't, the moon is in the sha...

I was wondering how you can see in birth charts how that person could become successful? And of course success is a wide ranging term and subjective to an extent. So can someone explain to me why in astrology (sorry if this has been answered before) it’s somehow always negative? What I mean by that: either there is a mercury retrograde which already happens like 6 months of the year. Then if there is no mercury retrograde, or even if there is one, there are x amount of other retrogrades. Or/and there are eclipses or eclipse seasons. I don’t really know but it always seems like there is no “good” time - if you’re lucky, some retro shade is ending or there is some sort of day where things manifest. But overall it’s very negative it’s a big turn off for me. And yes that might be things to channel as growth but cmon, surely it can’t all be struggle minus a few days here and there. Hello! I've been reading about local space astrology and astrocartography quite a bit. When playing with local space and/or relocational astrology, I tend to get confused ... I know with astrocartography, the "center" of the map is your birth place. But when I play around with the locational astrology tool on astro.com, you can move the main pinpoint around. The default is your birth location. But let's say you don't live in your birth location anymore. Should you move the pin to where you currently live and study those lines? The local space astrology tool there also lets you get really specific — I can move the pin to be exactly on a certain address, or the center of a particular city or town. Is one better than the other? (Address versus center of town?) You can also toggle off and and on a button that says "keep azimuth of birth chart." Hello everyone. I have recently been interested in macrocosmic/ timeline/ historical perspectives on astrology. To illustrate what I am talking about. Let’s imagine a timeline (this can start at the beginning of life on earth or even simply at the big bang) until now, and then continuing up until an unspecified point in the future (you can choose this) How would this timeline be illustrated symbolically through astrology? Does astrology coincide with different big “era’s” of history? Does it predict or have things to say about future waves of humanity? I'm trying to conceptualize mutual reception by domicile when exaltation and fall are involved. Analogies are always helpful, but I get stuck when trying to apply the one of a planet in the sign of its exaltation as a guest with high expectations about their stay at this particular hotel, a stay resourced by the hotel owner (domicile ruler). I understand that the actual outcome or manifestation of exaltation is only as good as the domicile lord's ability to resource it (e.g., whether the owner is burnt out and busy putting out fires so the last thing on their list is putting extra goodies in the honored guest's room or checking on them vs. whether the owner is well-resourced and able to pull out all the stops for the honored guest)... so I'm having a hard time understanding how this plays out with mutual reception by domicile. I know the aspect between them plays a big role, too, but I mainly wanna wrap my head around the essential dignity dynamic before factoring that ...

With the solar eclipse in Leo happening in a few days, it's made me wonder to what extent both nodes are involved in new moon eclipses. I assumed that both the north and south nodes are involved in all eclipses; however, I haven't seen many astrologers discussing Aquarius in the next eclipse. Hi. I'm new to astrology and reading Chris Brennans Hellenistic astrology. He talks about interpreting the most positive and negative planet by place according to the sect of the chart, that place the benefic of the sect is located within will tend to be an area of good fortune and ease and the place that contains the malefic that is contrary to the sect will tend to be an area of difficultly and hardship. So in a night chart that would be the location of Venus and Saturn. What would it mean if they were both in the same house/ place? The themes of that place would be easy and difficult, I'm not sure i understand what that would mean?
