November 2026 Astrology: Key Dates, Transits, Ingresses, Retrogrades, and the New and Full Moons

Usually, I do a partial prelude for the month first before listing key dates. My intro went into the United States political energy with an assessment on Trump in mid-November. Because of this, I am listing the dates up front, and if you aren’t interested in the prelude, you can skip to the weekly transit write-ups which will include the mid-month energy, along with Sun-Mercury Cazimi on November 4th, a brief overview of New and Full Moons, and the perfection of the Uranus-Pluto trine on November 29th.

Key Dates: Ingresses, Direction Changes and New and Full Moons

  • New Moon at 16°53’ Scorpio on November 9, 2026 at 1:02 AM CST
  • Mercury stations direct at 5°02’ Scorpio on November 13, 2026 at 9:54 AM CST
  • Venus stations direct at 22°51’ Libra on November 13, 2026 at 6:27 PM CST
  • Sun enters Sagittarius (0°00’) on November 22, 2026 at 1:23 AM CST
  • Full Moon at 2°20’ Gemini on November 24, 2026 at 8:54 AM CST
  • Mars enters Virgo (0°00’) on November 25, 2026 at 5:37 PM CST

November is an unusual month. Up until the 13th, we have both Venus and Mercury in retrograde. This is a continuation from October. Since Venus is in the sign of Libra, its domicile, and Mercury is in the sign of Scorpio, reviewing and reexamining our relationships is a natural extension of these retrogrades. But it goes beyond a casual review, since both personally and externally, issues such as money, debt, and finances and our entanglements with others are analyzed deeply. This includes relationships on the world stage.

However, there is another force that begins to build at the end of October and is at its strongest in mid November. That is the Mars-Jupiter conjunction which perfects on November 16, 2026 at 12:24 AM CST. Though this impacts everyone in the world, there is one leader who is going through a Mars return at the same time.

Generally speaking, a Mars-Jupiter conjunction can be positive for most people. Athletes tend to do well with this aspect, since it motivates you to achieve based on endurance and action. It can be lucky for some, due to the expansive nature of Jupiter on actions that are taken. However, this Mars-Jupiter conjunction is also conjunct to the South Node. These planets and placements are in the sign of Leo, which is ruled by the Sun.

The Sun in Scorpio is squared to the Mars-Jupiter-South Node configuration. The Sun brings energy, ambition and a desire to succeed. However, with its square to Mars, it can also bring on conflict, a push to make your own agenda come true.

With that said, the big concern here is the possible actions of the United States, since the Mars-Jupiter-South Node transit is conjunct to Trump’s natal Mars and Ascendant in the sign of Leo. The energy begins to apply on October 28th, and strengthens through mid November.

Trump’s Mars return perfects at approximately 12:38 AM CST on November 18th. Usually, it is the days leading up to the return that tend to be the most eventful.

The last time Trump had his Mars return, Trump had his fallout with Elon Musk. He doubled tariffs on steel and aluminum. He signed a travel ban on 12 countries and a proclamation blocking foreign students from entering the United States to attend Harvard. In addition to the temporary feud with Musk, Trump threatened Musk’s government contracts with the United States.

ICE raids led to protests in Los Angeles, and on June 7th, Trump signed a memorandum federalizing 2,000 California National Guard troops over Governor Newsom’s objection. He also ordered about 700 Marines to LA and 2,000 more Guard troops, and then Newsom sued.

After leaving the G7 early, on June 17th, when Mars crossed his ascendant, he called for Iran’s unconditional surrender and then ordered strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites on June 21st.

Whoa, that was a lot. And it is what makes November a strange month. First, it may seem like everything is uncertain, then it may feel like we are back in chaos mode. But, there are some differences from the last time that Mars was in the later degrees of Leo.

For instance, we have the South Node conjunct to Mars on November 14th. The South Node does two things simultaneously when conjunct to Mars. One, it harkens back to actions of the past. And two, it drains the energy of Mars.

However, Jupiter conjuncts Mars just 2 days later on the 16th. Jupiter in its purest sense expands whatever it touches. To me, when I look at Trump’s chart, I expect a doubling-down on actions that he may have taken in the past, while pushing a specific agenda. This is the root cause of the chaos in the United States.

Now, you may be wondering, will he be responsible with his actions? That will depend on what actions he takes. What he has working for him is charm, due to Venus applying a trine to his natal Sun. He most likely will be on the same page with his inner circle and ardent supporters. However, with Venus squaring his natal Saturn in Cancer, he will feel isolated, and could have a reappraisal of his life (though doubtful.) Most likely, he will lean into the decisions and actions that he has made, even if in the long term, it is to his detriment. And with Saturn square to his natal Mercury, what he says during this time period will only cause more conflict, due to his inability to let go of the past.

With the mid-term elections on the 3rd, there is a possibility that most of what he does mid-month is due to a reaction of the elections. His temperament could be hot, and his actions may be dramatic. But it is not like we haven’t seen this energy before.

The take-away here is that the Mars-Jupiter-South Node configuration isn’t exclusive to Trump. For him, he is his own worst enemy which tends to happen during a Mars return. But for most of us, this Mars-Jupiter conjunction can bring us luck, optimism and desire to do something big. Granted, he is the ruler of the most powerful military but he is only one person. And with that South Node going through his first house, his appeal is fading and his support is wavering (it’s one of the reasons that some Republican candidates removed Trump from their websites.)

By the time we get to Thanksgiving day, Mars will have entered the sign of Virgo. The overarching energy is still contentious, since there is a 4 degree orb with the square between Mars and the Sagittarius Sun, and there is an applying square between Mars and Uranus in Gemini. The energy is tense, and it could feel like all is about to let loose. The Moon is in its domicile sign of Cancer on Thanksgiving day, so surround yourself with people who can deal with times of tension in a positive manner. Conversations can go awry on this day due to Uranus, especially when talk revolves around hyperbolic statements, fear and dredging up the past.

Essentially, we start November off reviewing our finances, relationships and conversations while trying to move forward in life. Then, there is a wave of uncertainty, most likely due to delays in vote counts. Following is tension, be it conflict or optimism. By the time we get to the holiday, the energy shifts again.

But this is overarching energy and keep in mind, your chart may reflect everything differently. Where you live, who you interact with, and what your beliefs are dictate how some of this unnerving energy impacts you. You may feel more empowered and emboldened. You may feel energized with clarity and determination.

And that is what makes astrology so interesting on a personal level. I am sure we’ve all experienced it, when we are having a bad moment and someone near us is smiling away without a care in the world. Or vice versa, where everything is going right in our life and someone we care about is struggling. So even though I bring these inflection points up in regards to November, understand that the tension may not hit you in the same way that it hits someone else.

Week by Week Transits and Energy

November conveniently starts off on a Sunday. With 30 days, the 29th & 30th are added to the 4th week. These are general transits of the overall energy. Your personal life may reflect differently, depending on how these transits apply to your natal chart.

November 1st through the 7th

On the first, Mercury is separating from its square with Mars. If you had any disagreements in October, you could review what was said by each person and figure out how to eventually create a resolution.

Since Mars is in Leo, there’s a good chance that whatever disputes you had were more about ego and pride than the actual details.

We also start the week and the month off with Mars applying its conjunction to Jupiter. Generally speaking, a Mars and Jupiter conjunction can give you a lot of optimism and a desire to take on tasks with enthusiasm.

However, there’s a caveat here. The first couple weeks of this month are going to feel like you are driving a Ferrari through a school zone. This is because of the South Node, which is conjunct Jupiter, and because both Venus and Mercury are in retrograde.

So even though you want to move forward and you have the drive and determination, you may feel drained in your efforts or that you’re having to keep revisiting things from the past.

The best way to handle this energy is to go out and exercise. Physical activity is a great release to deal with that pent-up energy. It also will help keep you from taking unnecessary risks that could cause you issues.

That’s the whole thing about Jupiter: it expands whatever it touches. And sometimes when Jupiter expands certain placements, we can get overconfident. Mars can be reckless and aggressive. So be careful of accidents and driving too fast. Yes, you may get a temporary thrill of speeding, but the end result will not be worth it.

With Venus in sextile to Jupiter, which goes exact on November 4th, you may be inclined to hang out with friends this week, especially those you haven’t seen for a while. There is a desire to be around loved ones who tend to make you feel peaceful and with whom you can feel open and share your feelings.

You may be redoing some beautification projects that you’ve done in the past. What I mean by that is that you could be changing out frames on photos, rearranging the furniture, or rolling up your sleeves and doing a deep clean. It’s not that you’re starting something new, but instead you’re revisiting ongoing tasks that create a harmonious environment.

Election Day in the United States is on November 3rd. Due to Mercury’s retrograde and position, I advise not getting attached to the initial vote tallies. There is an inferior conjunction with Mercury and the Sun on the 4th, and this cazimi should give more clarity to the results then. However, some of these races may take weeks to determine the winner.

November 8th through the 14th

This is a week of transition. We start the week off with Venus in Libra sextile to Mars in Leo. When these two planets are sextile, they create a balance between self-assertion and relating to others. The sextile does perfect on the 10th, but we’re going to feel the energy for a few days beforehand.

Finances may come to the forefront, and you may be checking your stock portfolio, your 401k, or other investments. Usually Venus-Mars sextiles are positive when it comes to finances. However, with both Venus and Mercury in retrograde, not every investment is going to perform. It’s a good time to do a check-in on your balances and evaluate your earnings and losses.

The Venus-Mars sextile is great for creative pursuits. If you are an artist and you have unfinished projects that have gone to the side, this is a good week to pick them back up and finish them.

On the 9th, we have the New Moon in the sign of Scorpio. This New Moon will apply a square to Mars, so you may have an urge to start something new. With Mercury and Venus in retrograde until the 13th, visualize and reflect on how you want to approach your new pursuit and then take action after the planets go direct. Keep in mind though, if your new idea is more attuned to revamping something already in existence, you don’t need to wait.

Jupiter makes an exact conjunction to the South Node on November 11th, which is the setup for the Mars-Jupiter-South Node conjunction. Then on the 14th, Mars perfects its conjunction to the South Node, and on the 16th, Mars and Jupiter perfect their conjunction. Essentially, this entire week is supercharged with Mars-Jupiter-South Node energy.

What does this mean for you? First, it depends on your personal chart, so you may want to see where Leo is in your chart.

Mars gives you energy and a desire to take initiative and do something. But Mars can bring on agitation, aggressive behavior and sometimes anger. Jupiter, on the other hand, is optimistic, bold, generous and benevolent. However, Jupiter can lead you to take on too much.

With that said, there’s a lot of energy here that can go in different directions. You could be laughing and having a great time, and an hour later, be in a drag-out argument with someone. Usually, if issues come up, they’re about something in the past because of the South Node. It’s like the past is knocking on your door, imploring you to resolve what’s not quite right in your life.

This energy can also drain you and give you the sense that there’s too much to handle. Because of that, I strongly recommend taking long walks and doing breathing exercises throughout the week.

There is a breath routine called Lion’s Breath that can be really good for releasing energy you’re storing up inside of you. Several YouTube videos show you how to do it. Yes, it looks and feels silly, especially if you’ve never done it before. However, after you do it, you will feel lighter, calmer and balanced.

The good news about this time is that Mars-Jupiter conjunctions, especially when they are sextile to Venus, can bring good luck. You may find yourself in the right place at the right time, or you may take up an activity and find it’s much easier than you thought it would be. Because of Jupiter, there’s a sense of generosity, so you may get that helping hand you’ve been needing.

Don’t forget that both Mercury in Scorpio and Venus in Libra go direct on November 13th. That’s why this is a week of transition. By the weekend, you may feel like you’re embarking on a fresh start.

November 15th though the 21st

As mentioned last week, we continue with the Mars-Jupiter-South Node energy. The Sun is now making a square to the Mars-Jupiter conjunction.

When the Sun is in Scorpio and square to Mars in Leo, we may have conflicts with those in authority. Scorpio energy doesn’t like to be told what to do, and Leo energy loves to tell others what to do. So when we have the planet of action square to the planet of self-expression, let’s just say conflict is quite possible. Again, what’s helping to temper this is Jupiter and Venus, but they can only do so much.

My big warning for this week: if you have issues with your boss, you may want to read your emails before sending.

One of the ways you can maneuver through this week is by looking at it as a game. Instead of buying into other people’s energy, especially if they are confrontational, think of it as a game of chess and how you can maneuver around the situation. Use strategy instead of force.

This is what Scorpio energy is all about. It is ruled by Mars, but unlike Aries energy, which is very impulsive and direct, Scorpio energy looks at the whole situation and determines the best course of action.

The good news is you’re going to continue to have a high level of energy, but because we’re still dealing with Jupiter, you may have an unreasonable list of things you want to accomplish this week. There’s a good chance you look at your to-do list and it would normally take you three weeks to get that work done.

You are going to be motivated, and there’s a desire to push your own agenda. Just keep in mind that bursts of energy could deplete you. Try to prioritize what needs to be done this week as opposed to what you want to accomplish.

Though this can be an intense week, the good news is that Mars and the Sun are in mutual reception. Even though they are square to each other, this traditional mutual reception allows these two planets to work together, ideally, in the best way possible. This is why this is a good week to take on something big. Mars wants self-expression, which it’s receiving from the Sun. And the Sun wants calculated and defined action, which it is getting from Mars. As long as you can avoid arrogance, over-the-top spending, and pushing other people around, you can make this a positive, productive week.

November 22nd through the 30th

We start the week off with the Sun entering the truth-seeking sign of Sagittarius. People with a Sagittarius Sun may be optimistic, enthusiastic, and candid. I wish you all a Happy Birthday! Ruled by Jupiter, Sagittarius season often brings in an adventurous spirit.

On the 23rd, the Sun perfects a trine with Neptune, which is retrograde in Aries. This trine is idealistic, searching for deeper spiritual truths. For some, they may have a mystical experience or possibly even flashes of intuition.

On the 24th, the Full Moon welcomes us. The Full Moon is in the sign of Gemini, which is restless, communicative, and curious. We are at our pinnacle during a Full Moon, as the Moon illuminates the peak of its cycle.

Full Moons often reveal what was hidden, and here it could be suppressed information, communications, or emails. That means this is a great time to check your spam folder in case you’re missing any important messages.

In addition, this Moon will feel electric due to its conjunction with Uranus. You may feel quite impulsive during this Moon. It could be hard to concentrate on anything specific or detailed. There is a sense of impatience and restlessness.

The Sun-Pluto sextile perfects on November 25th. This is a great time for problem solving, especially if it is for everyone’s best interest, which is perfect since this is the day before Thanksgiving.

Just be careful with the excitement, because sometimes the restless nature of Uranus can lead to impatience, which may spill over into little tiffs.

On the 25th, Mars leaves the bold sign of Leo for the analytical sign of Virgo. Mars is in the final stages of its square with the Sun. Be careful not to nitpick others or push your point of view on people who don’t want to hear it.

Some people may have difficulty getting along with others on Thanksgiving. Again, this will depend on your own chart. It may be much easier to be around people who are like-minded than those who have opposing views. But if you can broaden your mind and listen, sometimes you can still learn by hearing things that you don’t agree with.

The two benefics perfect their sextile again on the 28th. This time, Venus is direct. This perfection falls on a weekend and is perfect for going out with friends and maybe doing some karaoke. That’s because Jupiter in Leo would love to do a performance, and Venus loves to give applause. But if singing is not your thing, enjoying yourself or being around the people you care about can make for a memorable weekend.

The Uranus-Pluto trine perfects on November 29th at 3°31’ Gemini and 3°31’ Aquarius. This is the second of five perfections between these two planets. Uranus in Gemini focuses on technological breakthroughs. Pluto is known for deep changes.

What these changes in technology will be is anyone’s guess, but most likely it has something to do with AI and surveillance. Is there a change of tone going forward? Possibly. But keep in mind that Pluto is also about power. It’s almost as if this trine is reminding us that whoever controls the tech controls the future.

On the last day of November, we have the Sun perfecting a trine to Saturn. Any discipline we had forgotten during the holiday comes back. As we leave the shadow of Mercury’s retrograde, we end the month with a desire to move forward.
