September 21st, 2025: Virgo New Moon Eclipse

-
Solar Eclipse in Virgo (29 deg, 3:54 pm EDT)
Here is a mix of beginnings and endings. As a New Moon eclipse, it's a powerful new chapter involving corrections, improvements, service, healing, humbling. But it opposes Saturn Rx in Pisces (28 deg) which is a culmination around responsibilities/sacrifices from the past. What you're starting now must be approached with the strictest attention to detail and a full commitment to making things better. And, there's something you must relinquish (maybe you're abdicating control) so you can clear the decks for a truly fresh chapter.
Virgo rules the South Node (past) so starting off in the correct manner involves a targeted release of old routines/dialogue. The self-flagellation, the negative self-talk, the slavery/martyrdom/chasing of crises - something along these lines must go so you can apply your corrections properly. The Pisces North Node (future) encourages compassionate release and self-forgiveness so you can move forward without the burdens of self-punishment.
Note this is not the same thing as avoiding all responsibility- there is something you must commit to. But you can't do that if you're weighed down by self-imposed suffering.
And of course this eclipse is occurring in the very last deg of Virgo (the anaretic degree which has increased urgency). Even as you're starting, you're at the end of a season and you can feel this - the sense of time running down. As you wrap up the past and turn the page, you're stepping into the Fall Equinox (Sept 22nd) - the moment of balance and harvest. And you want to ensure you're doing this with a clean slate so things will balance out correctly.
