Mars in Cancer is ultra sensitive -there's an instinctive urge to seek safety or lash out from a place of fear. The square to Chiron implies these issues are steeped in pain from the past. This is the abandoned or abused child (inside you) and a trigger stirs it all up. The first response may be to withdraw from what hurts but this will only make it worse - there is no safe space when Chiron is activated because the people who were supposed to protect you made you feel like an outcast and scapegoat instead.

Chiron always demands a direct response so the healing can begin. Here, you're actively confronting childhood wounds. Rather than running towards parents/family (who could never nurture you) you're now creating your own safe space. You're creating a place where you feel at home now which may be very different from where you grew up. From this new place, you access the courage to stand up to the bully, the abuser, the unsafe scenario from the past.

With BML into Scorpio, the taboo woman enters the sign of taboos. The witch, other woman or outcast slips into the shadows but she's not hiding away. In Scorpio, she's accessing deeper sources of power and her own shadow issues - jealousy, manipulation and ugly matters that no one wants to acknowledge are investigated. One might say BML is at home in this sign.

During this transit you can learn how to make the most of qualities everyone said were unacceptable. You fully embrace your dark side without giving in to destructive behaviour (hurting yourself or others). Meaning, you use controversial behaviour/sexual energy to liberate yourself and/or others (BML can fight for the rights of women that most people ignore). Or, you can become enmeshed in destructive power plays and even life-threatening situations. Your choice.

Black Moon Lilith exits Scorpio for Sagittarius on Dec 20th.

Overall, today is a day of deep discomfort. This is not something you can avoid, so you might as well dive in.
