One was the founder of the Spencer Davis group, and the other was an obscure Texas blues cat who gave us some gems. Spencer Davis (17 July 1939 - 19 October 2020) was a Welsh musician and multi-instrumentalist, and the founder of the 1960s rock band The Spencer Davis Group, also known as the band where teenage keyboard player Stevie Winwood first came to the world’s notice. From wiki: “In 1963, Davis went to a Birmingham public house to see Muff Woody, a traditional jazz band featuring Muff and Steve Winwood. Steve, only fifteen at the time, was already gaining notice for his musical abilities. Muff, five years older than his brother, was an accomplished jazz musician. Today we have Motown and the barrelhouse piano driving the early Rolling Stones! Our first set features a dance tune that was once banned from the radio because some believed it incited people to riot. A ridiculous notion, but in fact white Amerika was scared to death that this song would turn people out into the streets to riot rather than dance. Our song was #2 in the charts that Summer of 1964, and when birthday girl Martha Reeves (July 18, 1941) was asked by the UK press if she was a “militant leader” and if "Dancing in the Streets" was a call to riot, we read in wiki that “To Reeves, the query was patently absurd. by Robert Wilkinson We begin our Saturday musical feast celebrating the birthday of Dion, "The Man Who Invented New York Attitude!” Dion DiMucci (July 18, 1939) dominated the airwaves between 1958 and 1964. He then reinvented himself a few years later, after that he took a long vacation, and then came back and is still performing today! He had 39 Top 40 hits in the late 1950s and early 1960s as a solo performer, with the Belmonts or with the Del Satins and was inducted by Lou Reed into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1989. Today we have a broad spectrum from his career between 1958 and now. We begin with Dion and the Belmonts! Their first hit went to #22, and featured all the classic techniques of do-wop, including stops, drops, and pyramids! First, it means that the Jupiter adventure we’ve been doing as it raced through Pisces between January and May has now hit a high water mark at 9 Aries, and we will begin to review all the Jupiter related things that have come up since early May, when Jupiter went into its shadow zone for the first time. Since then we’ve gotten a look at the span between 29 Pisces and 9 Aries, and now get another look at that same span of experience, but from a retrograde angle instead of a direct angle. As the title suggests, I'm a little condused as to why the House system even exists in the WSH system. My point being that the Houses (1-12) are no different from the order of the signs (1-12), meaning that no matter which chart you look at, the first sign and everything therein will pertain to the persons sense of self and outward appearance and so on. Therefore, defining that area as the 1st house seems purely aesthetic to me and lacks value, as it is already a part of the eastern rising zodiac. This in turn makes it kind of silly to bring up Houses as part of the "big 4" topics of astrology, being Signs, Aspects, Planets, and Houses. I don't really know that much about the methods and systems used in astrological tools and techniques, so I can't really articulate the problem better, I just feel that systems like Placidus makes Houses different from the Signs and therefore worth it to differentiate them into two topics.
