July 7th, 2026: Uncomfortable Questions
Aries Moon conjunct Saturn (14 deg)
Third Quarter Aries Moon (15 deg)
Neptune stations Rx in Aries (4 deg, 6:54 am EDT)
The Last Quarter Moon (square the Cancer Sun) delivers an uncomfortable surge of independence and assertiveness. You might be settled into a comfort zone or are parenting someone when you're jabbed with restlessness (yours or theirs). This forces you to question your current purpose and goals - if you're not meant to protect, nurture or create a soothing environment, what's next?
You don't have to throw away your safety and sensitivity, but this phase of the lunar cycle is about questioning the past. Maybe you need to give someone more freedom or assert your goals rather than hunkering down. The Aries Moon is a push that reminds you Cancer is indeed a Cardinal sign, which means it initiates change, albeit indirectly. So maybe it's time to be more direct or honour someone's assertiveness (rather than feeling threatened by it).
The above includes the separating Sun/Saturn square (July 6th) so on the heels of that challenge (which encouraged you to set boundaries and protect your right to be you) there is this disruptive tension - can't you just settle and relax? Eventually you can, but not yet. As I said, Cancer is a Cardinal sign so comfort, nurturing and creating home are active issues. The past is not meant to keep you sealed in amber and your needs have (hopefully) evolved since you were a child.
