July 11th, 2026: Mercury Rx Square Vesta

  • Mercury Rx in Cancer square Vesta in Aries (21 deg)

  • Sun in Cancer square Pallas in Aries (19 deg)

Mercury Rx/Vesta is the second of three squares, the first occurring on Jun 8th when Mercury was direct.

In that post I wrote:

"Mercury/Vesta creates difficulties with talking about feelings or mentally acknowledging needs/vulnerabilities within yourself. Vesta's absolute focus on assertiveness and independence triggers a block that's difficult to push past."

Now you're revisiting the block and looking deeper. Key messages/memories from the past are targeted, perhaps involuntarily. The focus on independence and a brand new chapter is still uncomfortable, but why? What old messages are holding you back?

You can't rationalize this tension or block out the past- that contentious family discussion or sensitive memory demands a review. There might be something you're not saying that needs to come out. The final square will occur on Aug 7th.

Sun/Pallas delivers a similar theme (tension between sensitivities and the past vs fresh assertiveness) but here it's your purpose is at odds with a new strategy. The plan is not currently succeeding because you're standing in your own way, due to ego and attachment to the past. You might be hung up on a personal matter and the new plan is threatening your pride and comfort.

Pride is essential, but not when it prevents you from moving ahead. Why do you feel threatened by this new approach to success? Your answer will tell you what needs to change so you can turn this challenge into a win.

Astrology in May-June 2025 - Mercury in Gemini
