Day/Diurnal or Night/Nocturnal Chart: Actual sunset time vs. ASC/DSC axis?

Hello! Perhaps this may differ from one astrologer to the next, but when determining whether someone has a day or night chart, what would you weigh more heavily: the actual sunset time or the position of the Sun relative to the ASC/DSC axis in their chart?

For example, let’s say someone’s birth time is a couple minutes before sunset (the sun is above the horizon line at the time of their birth), but their chart shows their Sun as being slightly below the ASC/DSC axis — would you consider the chart to be a diurnal or nocturnal chart? And why?
