Opinions on degree relevance on ascendant

With rising signs I’ve had a hard time finding any answers about how much the ascendants location in a sign differs, for example if an ascendant is placed right on the edge of a sign let’s say less than 5* Is it fair to assume the traits of the next closest sign will also “bleed” into that person or would it maybe make the ascendant less dominant in a chart?

However they both stopped at some point & we never posted on their platforms anymore!
