May 24th, 2023: Venus Square Chiron

  • Venus in Cancer square Chiron in Aries (18 deg)

  • Waxing Sextile between the Leo Moon and Gemini Sun (3 deg)

  • Mercury in Taurus square Pallas in Leo (9 deg)

Venus/Chiron is pain connected to relationships or self-worth. You don't get what you want for security/comfort or what you want makes you vulnerable. You may feel unloved, unworthy and unsafe- the wounded child emerges.

Rather than shrinking away, look after yourself while openly admitting to what hurts- there's no shame in this. Protecting yourself does not mean denying that you have wants and needs. In some cases, giving or receiving can trigger wounds from the past but this does not devalue you. Your feelings are valid, the pain is real, but feeling unloved does not mean you are unlovable.

Mercury/Pallas is difficulty with communicating or understanding the bold strategy. Ideas are conservative while the plan is showy and a bit risky. Consider if the plan is all flash and no substance or if a stagnant mindset requires an injection of creativity. 

The Waxing Sextile can help with the above squares. It suggests progress if you  identify what you're proud of/where you shine and then choose based on that. Challenging perhaps, especially with Venus/Chiron, but there it is - find the thing (anything) that makes you raise your chin just a bit. Locate your light and then move forward with it.

Is the via combusta really Scorpio?

My ascendent is - according to birth certificate time - 27 degrees Libra. But I was just playing around with a rectification app and realized that if I didn't know the exact time, I'd definitely rectify it to 15 minutes later. Because when it has you match Libra vs Scorpio type traits, I come out more definitely Scorpio. Although I have usually been considered "pretty" and have codependent keeping the peace traits, I am much more on the side of "tense", "excessive seriousness", often told I have a hypnotic gaze and voice, obsessed with sex, spirituality, and power, as well as a life story sadly involving poverty, loneliness, extreme situations, persecution by authorities, etc Is this just normal for it being in the Via Combusta? Or maybe the BC is wrong?
