December 29th, 2022: Mercury Stations Rx

• First Quarter Aries Moon (8 deg)

• Mercury stations retrograde in Capricorn (24 deg, 4:31 am EST)

• Mercury conjunct Venus (24 deg)

Today is a turning point. 

The First Quarter Aries Moon (square the Capricorn Sun) demands action. There will be an uncomfortable push for change as the rules become unbearably restrictive or traditions are no longer acceptable. You may be compelled to break away, exert your own brand of control or step up and fight. 

But, Mercury stations Rx today so even as there's a push forward, there will be delays and a need for reviews. Messages from the past, prompts to stop and look inwards, a need to ask again/check the details. These are all possibilities as you question the rules or look more closely at your own boundaries/authority. Retrograde goes against the current and is an internal process, so as you struggle against the rules (First Quarter Moon) you'll be compelled to question/examine/say it differently. Or, change your mind on a verbal/written commitment. Look inside yourself - this could be a silent process. 

And, just as Mercury "turns around" it meets up with Venus (relationships, money, values). So the tension and the process of review will reconnect you with something you love or want. You may question what you want as you look beneath the surface but a Venus/Mercury conjunction is positive, even if Mercury is retrograde. It says that stopping, asking, investigating will put you in touch with something desired. The process of going back (and even the uncomfortable action of the Aries Moon) will uncover an important detail. You may be redefining what makes you happy or reconsidering a commitment or recommitting. You may get some good news or a message of love. 

Mercury will be Rx until January 18th and Mars (ruler of the Aries Moon) in Mercury-ruled Gemini is Rx until Jan 12th. So the next few weeks may feel like pushing against an obstacle- you want to move forward, you sense that change is here, but events seem to conspire against you. Use the tension to change what's under your control, in your immediate vicinity. Prepare for what you can't change now but will be available once Mercury and Mars station direct. 

Use the delays and reviews to go back and refine. Pay attention to documents, messages, messengers, emails, details. Hone your actions. Plan for the forward momentum that you know (now!) is coming.
