May 27th, 2022: Venus Square Pluto

Here is the crisis that forces a purging and transformation in all Venus issues (relationships, money, values, appearance). Subterranean power/manipulation/secrets trigger a confrontation that's rather explosive- Venus in Aries wants absolute freedom while Pluto wants absolute control. The resulting tension can manifest as extreme passion, jealousy or discomfort as you strive for something new but must contend with what's beneath the surface. 

You're breaking away from what's outdated. A powerful new attraction wakes you up.  New instincts about what you want or value emerge. The feeling of "gotta have that" is raw.

As always with Venus/Pluto squares, the intensity reflects the necessity of the transformation. If everything was comfy there would be no impetus - this change is driven by extreme passion or cravings. As you turn this corner, it may help to view the obsessive attraction or embattled relationship/financial issue as catalysts- nothing more, nothing less. The other person does not hold some mysterious power. The loss or struggle is not punishment. Squares are active aspects and Aries is the most active of signs- you are meant to act. You are meant to move in a new direction regarding what you want. What's happening out there reflects what's emerging within you and if you go with it you will empower yourself as vital versions of what you love are born. This could be about you setting off on your own: this new path is risky (takes courage!) but what lies behind you is dying.

On the surface, something exciting is visible but don't ignore what's going on behind the scenes. You empower yourself when you acknowledge the deeper issues. This means acknowledging your temptation to manipulate or be drawn into something unhealthy but seductive. You know the difference between healthy and toxic. You know. If you play with the dark fire (the questionable opportunity, the sexy/dangerous lover) you'll get burned. The new path does not lead "down there"- it can take you up and out which means acknowledging that the unhealthy temptation means something has to change within you and you make the change without giving in to the temptation. It's a catalyst.

 Venus rules the transiting North Node in Taurus and Pluto rules the Scorpio South Node. When the rulers of the Nodes form a square the struggle is about the karmic path-  the past (Scorpio) tries to maintain its grip through fear or manipulation. But the future (Taurus) grabs your attention via something bold and freeing.
