Do Air signs and Water signs as well as Fire signs and Earth signs conflict with each other?

It is said of air/earth and fire/water conflicts. But what about the above said? Do they conflict or get along better than their natural conflictors? If they do conflict, how does it happen? And if they get along well, again how?

My ascendent is - according to birth certificate time - 27 degrees Libra. But I was just playing around with a rectification app and realized that if I didn't know the exact time, I'd definitely rectify it to 15 minutes later.
