Natal sun in 8th House Placements- A compelling placement. Your experiences?

What are your experiences with 8th house sun placements? I’ve been doing some reading and keep seeing variations of “you’ll be asked to give up control over some aspect of your life to gain a higher perspective.” How do you interpret this, generally speaking? Since the 8th house rules other people’s resources, are natives often rewarded later for having faith in the process by gaining assistance from another?

Is the via combusta really Scorpio?

My ascendent is - according to birth certificate time - 27 degrees Libra. But I was just playing around with a rectification app and realized that if I didn't know the exact time, I'd definitely rectify it to 15 minutes later. Because when it has you match Libra vs Scorpio type traits, I come out more definitely Scorpio.
