Midpoints to trines Vs grand trine transits

I've recently been looking into the midpoints of trines.

And looking I have found transits to trine midpoints (Meaning transiting planet is sextiling both natal planets from the natal trine) far more seemingly significant and hence powerful (have impact) than when a the transiting planet creates a grand trine to the two natal planets.

I would love to hear other people's experiences with this and indeed if that's quite a well known occurrence. I had made the assumption that since trines are very strong a planet making a grand trine would be the stronger transit. If you have any links please share!

My ascendent is - according to birth certificate time - 27 degrees Libra.
