How accurate are birth times on birth certificates?

This might be a weird question and maybe better suited for a medical subreddit with doctors LOL. But what is the process of calling a birth time? I know that for astrology it has to be exact and precise down to the minute. What if, say, the birth time is recorded an entire 5-10 minutes later post birth? Is this a common occurrence or we should simply trust what our birth certificate says (as there’s no other option)?

Diana Garland and Bracha Goldsmith have both youtube channels with multiple 10k followers and used to upload astrology content on a regular basis for years. However they both stopped at some point & we never posted on their platforms anymore!
