Astrology in July 2021 – Two Fixed T-Squares Involving Leo, Taurus, and Aquarius with the Final Mercury Square Neptune!

by Robert Wilkinson Yes, we’re heading into the heart of the Mars-Saturn-Uranus T-square which is immediately followed by Venus making the same T-square! Most people are taught that squares are bad, and T-squares are worse. To quote Gershwin, “It ain’t necessarily so.” T-squares demand our ability to integrate the friction by seeing "the tension of opposites" of the opposition as giving us awareness to drive change via the third planet in square to both planets in opposition. The T-square we have now involves Mars opposing Saturn, with both squaring Uranus, throwing the void into mid-Scorpio, showing the problems and/or the solution to what’s going on. While this T will of course affect all of us with planets in the middle degrees of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius, it bears noting that Mars is also trine Chiron, showing “an understandable mentoring” energy which should help us see truth and the future quite clearly, given the void in Sagittarius. 13 Sag is said to be where we get a new identity suddenly revealed, but also where the karmic returns of the past come home to roost. This is where the opposition from Mars to Saturn isn’t necessarily “bad” as long as we don’t get hassled by things which are only a distraction, or misapply our energies in externalizing some element of our destiny or responsibilities. As the Moon is in Aries conjunct Chiron during the Mars opposed Saturn, it creates a very favorable opposition, sextile, and trine evolutionary configuration throwing a void into mid-Libra, showing us that maintaining balance is everything in navigating the opposition. Interestingly, Mars squares Uranus on July 3 at the same time the Sun quincunxes Saturn. As the Moon in Taurus sextiles Jupiter before it squares Venus and Saturn, we can work productively, anticipating the friction the Moon creates through its conjunction with Uranus and square to Mars. By how we handle the Mars T-square, we’ll get valuable info about how to handle the Venus T-square beginning July 6, which also features Mercury square Neptune! So over the next few days, don’t get hassled by things which can’t be solved by you getting hassled, adopt a live and let live attitude, and check out your inner “barometer” to know what’s coming down in the future. © Copyright 2021 Robert Wilkinson
