What is the effect of a planet going back into a house

What is the significance of a planet that retrogrades back into the house it was just in. For example a planet goes from the 2nd house to the 3rd house and then goes backwards back into the 2nd house. Does the transit have a large effect in ones life? I’ve heard that a transit is most intense at the beginning of the house it is moving into, would it be the same if it were going backward into the house?
